Today is the first day I am a grown-up. I moved my belongings to a new apartment with all new furniture to the heart of Montreal and I guess this is where it begins.
I’ve lived here before for a few co-op terms from school but those were always short term, 4 months each, and then I always went back to school. Now I am done school and I don’t think it has quite hit me yet. It still kind of feels like I’ll go back. I think I’ll give it some time and maybe soon I’ll feel more mature!
My favorite part though so far was buying fancy furniture I liked. Also buying plants. I love my plants.
I think overall this is going to be great. First day of full-time employment starts tomorrow! 😄
My grandma gave me 25 pairs of wooden bobbins to use for Bobbin Lacing a while back and my mom recently taught be how to use them! I am super excited to start using them but felt that they first needed a little bit more personality before I started. I decided that since they are not… Continue reading Bobbin Decorating I
One of my favorite paintings I’ve done so far. I love how the water turned out! Thank you Bob Ross for the inspirations and clever way to paint waves like this. I will be doing more like this in the future. I used oils with a fan brush for the waves and palette knife for… Continue reading Crashing Waves
My brother is terrible at keeping plants. He has killed almost every plant that he was given, including mine which he was suppose to watch for a few months while I was away. You can imagine how that went. He managed to kill a cactus! I am still unsure how that happened. Thus I have… Continue reading Crochet Agave Succulent Plant
I started these pretty orange handwarmers after my boyfriend’s hands get freakishly cold in the winter. I figured it was necessary for my own sanity. He decided that they need to be orange, and so they are the brightest orange yarn I own. The pattern I chose was very simple as I doubt he’d want… Continue reading Orange Handwarmers
During last Christmas my grandma had taught me how to make these beautiful ornaments and gave me all sorts of pretty ribbons to make them. They are very easy to make and look beautiful! These are the two I made while with her, and while not perfect I think they look good for doing this… Continue reading Patchwork Ornaments
I realized I have yet to post some of my most recent paintings and so I wanted to share one of my favorite collections: Tentacles. The theme was a simple blue/red mix with elements of tentacles incorporated into it. These were all painted with oil paints on various sized canvases to make a collage. Overall… Continue reading Tentacles 🐙
