Patchwork Ornaments

During last Christmas my grandma had taught me how to make these beautiful ornaments and gave me all sorts of pretty ribbons to make them. They are very easy to make and look beautiful! These are the two I made while with her, and while not perfect I think they look good for doing this the first time!

The process is simple, start with a styrofoam ball, cut pieces of ribbon into strips that can fold onto itself and simply pin them to the ball. The layering of these ribbons is what gives it such a pretty effect. I had also found other techniques online after looking that I will try next time!

Making the ball was definitely much simpler then the heart as the spacing was uniform. The heart though was too pretty to not make!
