Batik Cobblestones Quilt

I absolutely love these batik fabrics! I had bought a big box of batik fat quarters and I finally had a great quilt to use them on. It has such a hard time choosing which to use because they were all just so beautiful. The choice was between yellow-red-brown and blue-green, and honestly I might go back and do the other set as well in the same pattern. I love how big the cobblestone rectangles are as they show the fabric so well!

I did some light FMQ on each of the boxes and tried all sorts of patterns. Some more complex than others, but I tried to stagger them enough so they are always different. The borders and gaps between got a nice leafy meandering quilting on them to help bring out the subtle colors.

This beauty is going to my grandma who has this color scheme in her living room. Hopefully she will love it as much as I enjoyed making it.

The pattern is the Cobblestone Street by Robert Kaufman.
